Privacy Policy

Blanda is a personal photo app built so your memories stay yours. This policy explains what
we collect, why, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it plain.
What we collect
- Account details. When you sign in, we receive your email address and name
from your chosen sign-in method (e.g. Apple, Google, or an email/password account). We use
these to identify your account and to contact you about your account.
- Your photos and their dates. Photos you capture or upload, plus the
date/time they're associated with so they can be placed on your calendar.
- Groups you join. Which shared groups you belong to, so the right people
can see the right photos.
- Basic technical logs. Limited server logs (e.g. request times and error
information) needed to keep the service running and secure.
We do not collect contacts, location beyond what's embedded in a
photo you choose to upload, advertising identifiers, or behavioural tracking data.
How your photos are stored
- Photos are encrypted at rest using application-layer envelope encryption —
on our servers they exist only as ciphertext, not as viewable image files.
- Data is transmitted over encrypted (TLS) connections.
- Our servers are hosted in Germany (EU).
How your information is used
- To store, organize, and show your photos to you.
- To share photos only with members of groups you choose to join.
- To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
Sharing & disclosure
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising. Your photos are visible only to
you and to members of any group you join. We use a small number of infrastructure providers
(hosting and authentication) strictly to run the service. We may disclose information if required
by law.
Retention & deletion
You can delete individual photos in the app. To delete your account and associated data,
email us at the address below and we'll remove it. Encrypted backups may persist for a short
period before rotating out.
Children
Blanda isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
